Focus on food safety inspections for festival season

Targets and scope of festival food inspections

During the inspection period, the interdisciplinary team focused on inspecting food service establishments, restaurants, and hotels, as well as stalls displaying, introducing, and trading food across the province, especially in central areas where festival activities take place.

The inspection focused on both legal requirements and practical conditions at the facilities. Specifically, the inspection team examined compliance with regulations on food safety eligibility certificates, periodic health examination records for direct food handlers, the origin and traceability of ingredients, product labels and stamps, and the practice of food sample retention.

Environmental sanitation conditions, processing areas, equipment, and utensils used for food processing and storage are also inspected to promptly detect potential risks that could affect food quality and safety.

Controlling raw ingredient sources and traceability is given special emphasis, particularly for establishments serving large numbers of diners during peak festival periods.

Combine inspections with awareness campaigns to raise responsibility

Alongside inspections, the interdisciplinary team combined dissemination, guidance, and reminders for food business establishments to raise awareness of compliance with food safety regulations.

Establishment owners are required to focus on controlling the source of input materials, refrain from using food and ingredients of unknown origin or substandard quality, and strictly comply with hygiene regulations in food processing, storage, and trading.

In cases of violations, particularly serious ones, the inspection team will take action in accordance with the law, helping to strengthen deterrence and ensure discipline in food business operations.

Proactively preventing food poisoning risks

The Thanh Tuyen Festival is an event that attracts large crowds of locals and tourists, leading to a high demand for dining services and food consumption. Therefore, food safety control during the festival is of significant importance in preventing food poisoning and related incidents.

The interagency inspection campaign runs throughout the peak days of the Thanh Tuyen Festival 2026, helping to strengthen accountability among food producers and businesses while raising public awareness of choosing and consuming safe food.

Through inspection, communication, and guidance activities, Tuyen Quang aims to build a safe food business environment, protect public health, and help establish the image of a safe, civilized, and friendly destination in the eyes of residents and visitors.
