ADDA Organization

Agricultural Development Denmark Asia (ADDA) is a Danish Non-Governmental Organization founded in 1994 by Danes and Cambodians living in Denmark who had personal ties to Cambodia and Vietnam.

ADDA Organization

Since its establishment, ADDA has implemented a series of development projects across three countries aiming to promote sustainable agricultural development in both breadth and depth to improve the living conditions of rural communities.

ADDA's purpose

Rural livelihoods and self-reliance capacity

  • Improving living conditions for rural communities through enhanced production methods, where labor productivity is boosted while ensuring environmental sustainability.
  • Enhancing self-reliance for the poorest populations in Southeast Asia.
  • Adhere to the principle of “helping others is helping oneself” — a principle achieved through targeted capacity building with partners such as agricultural colleges, universities, and local farmers' organizations.

Activities and funding

ADDA also aims to disseminate knowledge in Denmark about living conditions in Southeast Asia through free lectures, articles, and exhibitions. ADDA collaborates with local organizations in countries where projects are implemented—currently in Cambodia and Vietnam.

Funding for ADDA's projects is mainly provided by Danida, and all projects aim to help recipients become self-reliant from external aid outside their countries.
