As consumers pay increasing attention to food quality and origin, the organic market is facing numerous development opportunities. Organic Foods Festival 2026 not only showcases certified organic products but also provides a networking space connecting businesses, producers, and consumers, contributing to spreading the values of organic agriculture.

Changes in consumer habits in recent years have opened up more room for the organic food market. While price used to be the top priority, an increasing number of consumers now pay close attention to production processes, raw material origins, and quality certifications. This is also why many businesses are choosing to invest more systematically in production, distribution, and building customer trust.
Against that backdrop, Festival Organic Foods 2026 takes place from July 20 to August 10 across the Farmers Market and Organicfood.vn systems, with the opening ceremony held on the morning of July 25 at the Farmers Market store (104 Hai Ba Trung, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). The program receives media sponsorship from the Vietnam Organic Agriculture Association (VOAA) and the German Organic Farmers Association (Naturland), alongside the partnership of numerous organic food businesses.

Beyond merely promoting products, the festival also aims to connect stakeholders across the value chain, from producers and distributors to certification bodies, thereby spreading green consumption trends and raising community awareness about organic agriculture.
Building trust through quality and transparency
Changing consumer awareness and trust
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Organic Foods Festival 2026, Mr. Vo Thanh Loc, Commercial Director & Co-founder of Farmers Market, noted that after nearly a decade of growth, the retail chain has witnessed a distinct shift in consumer demand. While consumers previously focused primarily on prices, they now place greater priority on health-friendly products with traceable origins and transparent production processes.
Mr. Loc acknowledged that organic production remains a challenging sector due to strict technical requirements, lengthy conversion periods, and substantial investment costs. Nonetheless, as more and more businesses get involved, supply is gradually expanding, giving consumers more opportunities to access organic food at more reasonable prices. Throughout this process, certification and traceability continue to serve as the foundation for building market trust.

Trust is also what businesses pursue when developing organic products. Amid a marketplace where consumers have countless choices, meeting international standards is not only a requirement for quality but also a commitment to transparency throughout the entire production process.
From a distributor's perspective, Ngo Bich Quyen, Director of Organicfood.vn, explained that consumers increasingly value qualities verified by independent organizations rather than relying solely on businesses' claims. Organicfood.vn has therefore chosen to pursue USDA organic certification to ensure transparency throughout, from soil and water conditions and seed sources to the entire cultivation process.

Linkages to enhance the value of organic agricultural products
Behind every organic product is a tightly controlled production process. This is why quality is always considered the decisive factor for a product to gain a firm foothold in the market.
Mr. Nguyen Vu Minh Quan, Director of Sunny Harvest Co., Ltd., emphasized that to bring agricultural produce into modern retail systems, enterprises must simultaneously meet many strict quality and food safety standards. From input materials to testing criteria, everything is rigorously controlled to ensure that products reaching consumers strictly meet committed requirements.

According to Dr. Do Viet Ha, Vice President of the Vietnam Organic Agriculture Association (VOAA), developing organic agriculture cannot be the effort of a single business or organization alone, but requires the synchronized participation of producers, businesses, associations, and regulatory bodies. Accompanying the Organic Foods Festival 2026, VOAA will mobilize more than 2,000 members to join the program's activities, while continuing to strengthen connections with relevant entities to boost organic production, enhance the value of agricultural products, and move toward circular, low-emission agriculture.

International cooperation alongside Vietnamese organic agriculture
From the perspective of international cooperation, Mr. Albin Deforges, Director of Naturland in Vietnam, evaluated that the partnership between international organizations and domestic partners is helping create further momentum for the organic sector's growth. Over the past five years, Naturland has collaborated with VOAA to implement numerous training programs, supporting farmers in transitioning to organic farming practices according to international standards. In parallel, market linkage activities have brought European organic products closer to Vietnamese consumers through the Farmers Market chain, while also opening more opportunities for Vietnamese organic agricultural products to enhance their competitiveness.

Festival Organic Foods 2026 is not only a trade promotion event but also reflects the development trends of the organic food industry in this new era. When product quality is guaranteed by clear standards, consumer trust is built on transparency, and the links in the value chain are increasingly connected, organic agriculture will gain a firmer foundation for sustainable development, bringing long-term benefits to producers, businesses, and the community./.
