On November 21, 2015, PGS Tân Lạc, comprising 9 farmer group leaders and 12 Coordination Board members from the Division of Agriculture, agricultural extension, plant protection, the Women's Union, along with project officers from CECAD, under the financial support of VECO, organized a training on PGS operational methods.
The decision of the Tân Lạc District People's Committee assigning the district Division of Agriculture to collaborate with CECAD and Seed to Table projects to establish and operate the Participatory Guarantee System, assisting Tân Lạc farmers in accessing local markets, was delivered to all class participants by Mrs. Phạm Thị Phương – Chairwoman of the Tân Lạc District Women's Union.

Foundational knowledge and PGS operational experience
Basic knowledge of PGS and experiences in operating PGS in various localities were shared during the class by Mrs. Từ Thị Tuyết Nhung, Head of the PGS Vietnam Coordination Board.
On the afternoon of the same day, the duties and functions of PGS Tân Lạc were discussed, defined, and specifically assigned to each section by the participants, alongside providing feedback on the logo design and developing internal rules and operational regulations.
PGS Tân Lạc, with the support of district and commune authorities, the direct participation of the district Division of Agriculture, local agencies, mass organizations, and development organizations, and especially the determination of 9 farmer groups practicing organic farming in the two inter-groups of Mường Bi and Thân Thiện, promises to soon bring reliable organic products to the markets of Hòa Bình City and Hanoi.
