The inspection campaign was carried out to proactively prevent food safety risks and safeguard the health of local residents and visitors during the festival's activities.

Focusing on Controlling Food Served at the Festival

Scope and Content of Festival Food Inspections

During the inspection period, the inter-agency team focused on inspecting food service establishments, restaurants, and hotels, as well as stalls displaying, promoting, and selling food across the province, particularly in the central areas hosting festival activities.

The inspections evaluated both legal compliance and actual conditions at each establishment. Specifically, the team verified compliance regarding food safety eligibility certificates, periodic health examination records for direct food handlers, origin and provenance of raw ingredients, product labeling, and adherence to food sample retention protocols.

Environmental sanitation, food processing areas, equipment, and utensils used for preparation and storage were also examined to promptly identify potential hazards that could compromise food safety and quality.

Controlling ingredient sourcing and traceability was given particular emphasis, especially for establishments catering to large volumes of diners during peak festival days.

Combining Inspections with Awareness Raising and Responsibility

In addition to enforcement, the inter-agency team engaged in communication, guidance, and reminders to help food business operators raise awareness and comply strictly with food safety regulations.

Facility owners were urged to prioritize the control of incoming ingredients, refrain from using food and raw materials of unknown origin or substandard quality, and strictly observe sanitation standards during food processing, storage, and trade.

Any violations, especially serious infractions, will be strictly handled in accordance with the law, helping to ensure deterrence and uphold discipline across food business operations.

Proactively Preventing Food Poisoning Risks

The Thanh Tuyen Festival attracts large crowds of locals and tourists, driving a sharp increase in demand for dining services and food consumption. Therefore, stringent food safety oversight during the festival plays a vital role in preventing foodborne illness outbreaks and related incidents.

Conducted throughout the peak days of the 2026 Thanh Tuyen Festival, this inter-agency campaign contributes to heightening the accountability of food producers and traders while empowering consumers to make safe, informed food choices.

Through these inspection, communication, and guidance activities, Tuyen Quang aims to foster a safe food trading environment, protect public health, and project an image of a safe, civilized, and welcoming destination for both residents and visitors.
