The training session was attended by Mr. Phan Huu Son – Standing Member of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Phu Bai Ward People's Committee; Ms. Dang Thi Minh Huong – Deputy Head of the Ward Cultural and Social Affairs Department; and the guest speaker MSc. Dr. Le Viet Than – Deputy Head of the Food Safety Department, Hue City Department of Health. The presence of local authorities and medical experts demonstrated keen concern for food safety assurance in schools.

Delivering the opening remarks, Ms. Dang Thi Thu Ly – Principal of Binh Minh Kindergarten emphasized that food safety and hygiene in preschool facilities is not only a mandatory legal requirement but also an ethical responsibility for every staff member, teacher, and employee. According to Ms. Ly, preschool children have developing immune systems and are highly vulnerable to food safety hazards. Consequently, the school regards this as a top priority, urging the entire team to uphold a high sense of responsibility and rigorously implement regulations and procedures to minimize any untoward incidents.

During the training, the speaker provided crucial updates regarding food poisoning trends nationwide as well as across Hue City in recent times. Concurrently, legal regulations and policies related to school food safety were clearly disseminated, helping school staff grasp the legal basis for effective implementation.

One of the key topics presented was the three-step food inspection procedure and food sample retention—a vital link in controlling the quality of school meals. In addition, common food safety violations and administrative penalties were thoroughly analyzed, raising individual awareness of compliance.

A notable highlight of the training session was the integration of theory and practice. Through hypothetical scenarios, administrators, teachers, and staff received direct guidance on early detection of food poisoning symptoms, basic first aid, reporting protocols to competent authorities, and proper sample preservation for investigation. As a result, 100% of participants were equipped with the essential knowledge and practical skills to respond promptly in the event of an incident.

Through this initiative, Binh Minh Kindergarten (Phu Bai Ward, Hue City) continues to reaffirm its commitment to enhancing the quality of child care and nutrition. At the same time, the training reinforced the professional capabilities and sense of responsibility among all staff members in preventing and managing food safety risks, striving toward building a safe, healthy, and sustainable educational environment.
