Far more than just a familiar fundraising bake sale organized by Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted students, Cakes For Charity 2026 showcases how young people choose to engage with community life through kindness, perseverance, and responsibility. Taking place on March 23, 25, and 27, 2026, in Halls A - B of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted (Ams), Cakes For Charity 2026 was organized by Ams Baking Club under the auspices of the school's Youth Union. Founded in 2014, Ams Baking Club launched Cakes For Charity in 2015 and has maintained it as an annual tradition. From a student club activity, the event has gradually become a familiar gathering point for multiple generations of Ams students, while also attracting the attention of high schoolers across Hanoi.

When Baking Is No Longer Just a Hobby

Theme and Fundraising Activities of the Program

What makes Cakes For Charity leave a distinct impression is not simply the number of pastries sold, but how the organizers choose to convey the program's purpose. This year's season featured the theme “Rising Reverie”, evoking a dreamlike space where seemingly forgotten dreams have the chance to be rekindled. The “candy land” atmosphere crafted for the event was not merely for visual appeal, but a creative way for the organizers to share a story of hope and the revival of beautiful things in life.

The menu featured treats such as Red Velvet Cupcakes, Crème Brûlée Donuts, Lava Chocolate Cakes, and Matcha Tarts. Yet, Cakes For Charity's true value extends beyond the baked goods. These treats serve as a medium connecting youth to a broader mission: raising funds, spreading compassion, and bringing community support closer to underprivileged children. According to the organizers, all proceeds from the bake sale continue to be directed toward supporting disadvantaged individuals, especially children in need.

In recent years, funds from the program have been directed to the “Empowering De Xu Phinh” fund, Thanh Tam Shelter, Deaf Children Class, Operation Smile Vietnam, students of Tan My Chanh Secondary School, and communities affected by natural disasters. From 2022 to 2025 alone, the funds raised reached 30 million VND, 35 million VND, 30 million VND, and 40 million VND, respectively.

These figures demonstrate the organizational effectiveness and sustainability of the program across multiple seasons. From product preparation and event operations to communications and post-event follow-up, Cakes For Charity is executed in a highly structured and professional manner. This serves as the foundation for building trust and maintaining its positive influence in the community.

A Generation of Students Who Dare to Dream and Take Action

Beyond its community impact, Cakes For Charity also reflects a notable shift in today's school life: students no longer participate in extracurriculars just for fun, but strive to generate social value through their own capabilities. The organizing committee established concrete goals, from reach on Facebook and Instagram to public engagement targets, interaction growth, and participant numbers. For a student club, such structured planning demonstrates an organizational mindset that goes far beyond a simple internal event.

Sharing the program's significance, Le Thao Nguyen, Head of the Organizing Committee for Cakes For Charity 2026, expressed that the team hopes attendees come not just to buy pastries or enjoy a fun activity, but to feel more deeply the value of sharing.

When young people join hands in the smallest tasks—from preparing treats and setting up the event space to spreading the message—these small deeds contribute to offering hope and support to children who need care and attention.

Cakes For Charity 2026 may have started with baked goods, but its lasting impression goes far beyond sweetness. It is about how a group of students applied their skills to create a meaningful, profound initiative capable of touching the hearts of the community.

In an era where youth are often perceived as impatient or hasty, initiatives like Cakes For Charity send a message that they can indeed live responsibly, organize effectively, give back generously, and open their hearts to causes greater than themselves. Perhaps the most precious value of the project lies not only in the funds raised each season, but in preserving a simple conviction: when kindness is pursued with sincerity and perseverance, it will always reach far and wide.
